Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Sorry, I haven't posted lately. I came down with a nasty cold that has lasted over a week. Then we had a nasty snow storm that came in that made it difficult to go to work teaching at my English classes. Seems like Japan doesn't have the same snow plows like we have back home in Montana. When the snow came, the city did nothing and the roads were dangerous to drive on. My pastor in Japan even got stuck on his way home from a conference and had to walk 2 hours on foot at 3am in the morning just to get home. By God's grace we are all safe.

  Things are going well here. Still trying to lead my students to the Lord and have more come to class. I wish my students would read the Bible on their own at home, but at least one older man is making an effort.

    I am currently reading a book by William Fay (Sharing Jesus without Fear) and it seems to have good insight on how to witness to people without an argument. Some of my students love to argue. Instead of arguing and defending the Bible, you are required to listen to the other person's view and guide them reading Scriptures. You are required to let the Bible defend itself. Although this would require me to comprehend what my students are saying in Japanese and I still have struggles in learning the language. God still uses us even in our weaknesses. So hopefully this approach from this book will work because the Japanese people are really hard to win over to the Lord. Please continue to pray for me and this ministry in Japan. God bless... :)

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support.Things have been going well here in Japan. It is the cold season in Japan right now. We try our best to stay warm. Ministry is always hard here. People are stubborn and unbelieving, but I am still persevering. I really enjoy the fellowship of the believers here in Japan. It encourages me to keep moving forward. Like my recent newsletter quote from Charles Spurgeon says "Beside all waters sow;
The highway furrows stock;
Drop it where thorns and thistles grow;
Scatter it on the rock."
 So some seed has to grow sooner or later and our job as missionary's is just to be a sower. God does the rest. God bless... :)

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things are going well here in Japan. I bought a ticket to return home for the Thanksgiving holidays. :)  So I will return to the US for about three weeks. We recently celebrated my birthday at a castle and we also had a great ministry outreach to the neighborhood kids near the church last Sunday. A good group came out and they had fun. And then we had a good time at an English service at the church. God bless...

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Everything is going well here in Japan. Could always have more students, because it means more ministry and more people are hearing the gospel. But I am grateful for the ones that I have. Just praying that God will open up their hearts to the Gospel message. Thank you for all your prayers for the Japanese people and my ministry. God bless...

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things are going well here in Japan. Our church recently had a youth camp where we enjoyed games, barbecue, and did a Bible skit teaching about the value of prayer and being thankful. Several of my English students came as well to the camp. Pretty soon Life Song church will have their youth camp as well. Please keep the event in your prayers. Thank you and God bless...

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Have some sad news. The brother in our church recently passed away, but he is in Heaven right now. Please pray for his family. That the Lord will comfort their hearts. Good news is that my sister is back in Japan. English classes are going good and recently we had a good English service. Please pray for more souls to come to Jesus here in Japan. God bless...
