Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

    Thank you for all your prayers and support.Things are going well here, but I miss home. I have some good news. I recently got my three year extension visa. :) I would send a picture of it, but because of privacy reasons I won't post it. So it looks like I am going to stay in Japan a bit longer.

 Classes are going well. Getting some new students. Please continue to pray for them for their salvation. It would be great if the Japanese people would have their eyes open to the gospel. God bless...

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Well, still waiting on my visa situation. I have until the end of June to receive a reply about whether I am allowed to stay in Japan or not. Please continue to pray about this.

 Classes are going well. There are many challenges that I have though, because I teach a wide variety of ages. Teaching the younger ones is especially a challenge. Recently we had an event called Hello Kids, where we reached out to the community near the Life Song church in Tenri. I did a Bible presentation with my felt program. Thank you once again for keeping this ministry in your prayers. God bless...

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Well, it has been about a week since my sister Bethany moved to Russia for the mission field. It will be a new chapter in our lives with both of us in two different countries. I just recently got some good news. I am able to stay in Japan for another two months. :) I am still waiting for a reply about extending my stay in Japan for three years. I hope it will come.

  Classes are going good. Always have student behavior problems though with the kids. :/ The two adult students that got recently saved, still need some more time. They still don't understand the salvation message. A lot of my students don't understand why they need salvation. So with these two adult students, I am going to show the Jesus movie in Japanese. It will be their first time watching the film. God bless...

P.S. The pictures are a recent event that I went to along with my sister. It was the anniversary of the head of the Bible College in Ikoma. My great uncle Coote married the pastor and his wife.

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. I got some good news. Bethany is back from Russia for about a week and two of my students accepted Jesus into their hearts last Saturday. I hope my students understood, though since it was done in English. :/ 

 

    Some sad news is that one of my students passed away. I hope that she accepted the Lord before she passed away. We cannot pray for her anymore, but we can pray that her friends and family will become saved. Me and my students are going to miss her. 

 

    This week might be my last week in Japan, because I am waiting for a renewal of my visa and there has been no reply. :/ Both mine and Bethany's visa expire this month. So keep us in your prayers. Thank you and God bless...

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things are going well here in Japan, but we have our trials. Lately we've been having troubles with no mail coming that we are waiting for. On top of that, our internet is cut off for two weeks. We are still persevering.

    Recently I had four students graduate from elementary school. They are now entering the grade from twelve years old to fifteen year old. Three of my student's graduation I attended at their school. It was very embarrassing being the only foreigners there, but hopefully coming there made an impression on the kids. Pray that they will start coming to my English classes so I can minister the word of God to them. God bless...

    Thank you for all your prayers and support. Sorry, I haven't posted lately. I came down with a nasty cold that has lasted over a week. Then we had a nasty snow storm that came in that made it difficult to go to work teaching at my English classes. Seems like Japan doesn't have the same snow plows like we have back home in Montana. When the snow came, the city did nothing and the roads were dangerous to drive on. My pastor in Japan even got stuck on his way home from a conference and had to walk 2 hours on foot at 3am in the morning just to get home. By God's grace we are all safe.

  Things are going well here. Still trying to lead my students to the Lord and have more come to class. I wish my students would read the Bible on their own at home, but at least one older man is making an effort.

    I am currently reading a book by William Fay (Sharing Jesus without Fear) and it seems to have good insight on how to witness to people without an argument. Some of my students love to argue. Instead of arguing and defending the Bible, you are required to listen to the other person's view and guide them reading Scriptures. You are required to let the Bible defend itself. Although this would require me to comprehend what my students are saying in Japanese and I still have struggles in learning the language. God still uses us even in our weaknesses. So hopefully this approach from this book will work because the Japanese people are really hard to win over to the Lord. Please continue to pray for me and this ministry in Japan. God bless... :)
