Dear Last Chance Chapel,
friends, and family
Thank you for all your
prayers and support. Well, it looks like I will be staying in Japan. I
found a car to buy. Thank you to all who have pledged finances towards
this and to all who have prayed. :) I am in the process of looking for
some more work in Japan so life will be not much of a struggle to get
by. But I am sure since God has provided this car for me, He will surely
provide work for me too. Classes are going well, but the life of an
English teacher is a hard one as well as the life of a missionary in
this country. Teaching kids who have no interest in English and are
misbehaved gets quite frustrating at times. Teaching the Gospel to a
nation that has so many idols and beliefs, makes it hard for anyone to
accept the Lord into their hearts. It really takes time and patience to
work with these people and most important God's power to change their
hearts. Thank you and God bless...

Hey John! So glad to hear you are getting a car and getting to stay in Japan!! Yes, it does take endurance to live in Japan and minister to the people there...the life of an English teacher is not glamorous, but I am very sure you are touching more lives with the love of Jesus than you know! Just living there, loving the people, walking the daily journey with them while living your life of faith is such an AWESOME work! It may not feel that way sometimes, but we are thankful to have you there continuing the work! Love and prayer, Deborah Kurfman and family
