Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things have been going well here. It's getting humid here in Japan and right now we are having heavy rain. Pretty soon my brother will be living in Japan and will be my neighbor. They always say two is better than one. I hope he makes a great impact here in Japan and that God will bless his ministry. :) Please continue to pray for me that I will be able to get more English students and that the ones I already have will open their hearts to the Lord. God bless....

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things have been going well here. Soon my dad and brother will be visiting me. :) Still hoping and praying that my English students will get saved. I guess it just takes time. Recently I got a new job teaching at a school. It is only part time and the hours are very few. I hope to work more hours there if possible. I can't teach the Bible there at the school but at least I hope to be a good Christian influence to them. Missing home and America. There are many struggles to being a missionary here in Japan, but I know God orders my steps. God bless... :)

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Recently I applied for work teaching English in Kashihara. It looks like I might get the job. :)
I have been enjoying driving my new car around to places. It has been cold here and raining a lot. I wish the weather would clear up. :/
My classes are going well except none have accepted Jesus yet into their hearts. One of my elementary classes just laughed when I was saying that the Bible lesson was really true. Teaching the Bible to them can be frustrating and requires a lot of patience.  In the Pilgrim's Progress movie, Pilgrim says to his friend seeing kids mock him from a school window, "Leave them for they are children of darkness". But on the other hand, in the Jesus movie, you see Jesus still teaching and being friendly even when he is among people who laugh and don't believe. It is hard here, but learning these lessons in life helps me become more like Jesus. I know that whatever I endure, Jesus is enduring it with me. Thank you for your prayers for Japan and continue to pray that God will change this nation. God bless...

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Well, it looks like I will be staying in Japan. I found a car to buy. Thank you to all who have pledged finances towards this and to all who have prayed. :) I am in the process of looking for some more work in Japan so life will be not much of a struggle to get by. But I am sure since God has provided this car for me, He will surely provide work for me too. Classes are going well, but the life of an English teacher is a hard one as well as the life of a missionary in this country. Teaching kids who have no interest in English and are misbehaved gets quite frustrating at times. Teaching the Gospel to a nation that has so many idols and beliefs, makes it hard for anyone to accept the Lord into their hearts. It really takes time and patience to work with these people and most important God's power to change their hearts. Thank you and God bless...

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things are going well here. Bethany came back to visit me before she goes to Russia. Having a good time with her. I am still witnessing to my students though they still haven't accepted Christ in their hearts. Guess some things just take a lot of time. This Christmas I am teaching about the Christmas season and playing Christmas games with the kids. Seems a lot of them don't know the meaning of the season.  Missing my family over this Christmas and pondering about this year. I'm not sure whether to do another year here in Japan because of financial reasons and I need a car next year. I'm sure whatever the case, God will guide me in my decisions. God bless and Merry Christmas... :)

Dear Last Chance Chapel, friends, and family

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Things are going well here in Japan. It is getting cold though. I will need to search for firewood for the stove soon. Just had a harvest party instead of Halloween for my kid students. They seemed to enjoy it although not all of them dressed up. Guess the older kids were to embarrassed. :/ Still need a car for next year, so I appreciate your prayers going out for that. Thank you and God bless... :)
